Frankfurt/Hannover, July 20, 2026 | Clear for takeoff! Developer Reakktor Studios and publisher Senatis are sending their action-packed flight sim G-Rebels into Early Access on Steam. The spiritual successor to the PS1 classic G-Police is available now in its Early Access version for Windows, following an intensive demo phase in which the community delivered invaluable feedback for the game’s development.
Starting today, players can climb into the cockpit and throw themselves into the action high in the skies. Anyone with a particularly powerful PC can switch on “Insane” mode and enjoy the spectacle in all its glory, while the optional Virtual Reality mode takes immersion to a whole new level. Anticipation for that VR mode was already running high ahead of launch: G-Rebels sat at number one in the “Popular Upcoming” category of Steam’s most anticipated VR games. That said, even without the optional VR mode, the game delivers for fans of fast-paced action flight titles.

Native VR mode: For the first time, G-Rebels can be experienced in VR. Strap on a headset and take your seat right in the cockpit, weaving from a first-person view across the rooftops of Daevos, one of several intricately crafted mega-cities in G-Rebels. To push immersion even further, a range of HOTAS controllers is supported.
Up to 20 missions: The EA version includes the entire first chapter, made up of nine main missions that kick off a storyline full of twists and intrigue. On top of that come ten side missions and a carefully curated selection of races, bounty hunts and other activities. The variety spans escort missions, assassination and smuggling jobs, battles over outposts, and everything from patrols to dogfights around massive freighters.
New areas: Alongside the central metropolis of Daevos, the Early Access version opens up further vast regions of the Atlas Archipelago for the first time, offering an expanded look at the game’s richly detailed, dystopian world.
“State of the art” technology: A vast, seamless open world with no loading screens. G-Rebels combines modern world streaming with dynamic weather, volumetric clouds and realistic day-night transitions. Paired with lifelike 3D surround sound, players experience the world of G-Rebels up close.
At the start of Steam Early Access, G-Rebels is available for €29.99. During the first week, an introductory discount of 20% lets players climb into the cockpit for just €23.99. Alongside the launch, G-Rebels is also being featured in the official Steam showcase “Games Composed in Germany.”
For one week, selected games from German developers take center stage, giving players the chance to discover and try out new titles from Germany.
Following the Early Access launch, development on G-Rebels continues seamlessly. The roadmap includes further missions, new areas, and localization into additional languages, among other things. As during the demo phase, Reakktor Studios is placing particular emphasis on community feedback, building out G-Rebels step by step together with its players.
