Nu\u00dfbaum \u2013 a lifelong EMERGENCY fan and one of the most accomplished creative leaders in the European games industry \u2013 joins CEO Jan Richter\u2019s leadership team to help drive the next phase of the franchise\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nu\u00dfbaum\u2019s connection to EMERGENCY runs deep. He has been a fan of the franchise since its earliest days, drawn to the series\u2019 distinctive blend of authentic simulation and strategic gameplay. That personal passion, combined with the studio\u2019s recent performance, made the decision to join Sixteen Tons a straightforward one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over 200% Revenue Growth: EMERGENCY HQ in the Strongest Phase of Its History<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Since Jan Richter took over as CEO in mid-2024, Sixteen Tons has been on a remarkable run. Monthly revenue for EMERGENCY HQ has grown by more than 200% in just 18 months \u2014 eight years after the game\u2019s original launch. Growth has been almost entirely organic, driven by consistent content updates, compelling live events, and a rapidly expanding international player base, particularly in the United States. The studio has grown to approximately 35 team members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Chief Creative Officer, he now has the opportunity to guide the EMERGENCY franchise \u2013 which has fascinated him since its inception \u2013 into its next era as its creative lead. He has demonstrated the expertise required for this role over the past several years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his long tenure at Wooga, most recently as Vice President Creative, Sebastian Nu\u00dfbaum built an internationally successful portfolio. Building on the success of Pearl\u2019s Peril<\/em>, he personally led the development of June\u2019s Journey<\/em> by systematically refining and elevating its core gameplay elements. The result was the world\u2019s most successful hidden-object game, generating well over $1 billion in lifetime revenue. In its wake, the entire genre experienced significant growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
