- New trailer showcases spectacular locations from the world of G-Rebels
Frankfurt/Hanover, October 13th, 2025 | After successful first test flights, G-Rebels is on final approach. Just in time for Steam Next Fest, which takes place from October 13 to 30, German developer Reakktor Studios and publisher Senatis are rolling out a significantly updated Steam demo of the aerial combat simulation. Starting today at 7 pm CEST, players can download the demo on Steam, take on high-risk missions in the skies, and experience the new features firsthand. As the spiritual successor to the PS1 classic G-Police, G-Rebels pairs fast-paced dogfights with a dystopian atmosphere.

(Note: The updated version of the demo will be available starting at 7 PM CEST / 10 AM PT.)
The new G-Rebels demo takes immersion to the next level with the debut of Real 3D Sound, delivering true three-dimensional positional audio. Roaring Skyblades, city ambience, and cockpit cues resolve from every direction, putting players right in the heart of the action. Since the last demo, the team has diversified the engine sounds across all Skyblades, ensuring each one has a distinct sonic profile.
Those flying through the city at night will notice a visual lift: updated lighting adds depth and atmosphere to the lower urban areas. Players who prioritize performance can toggle the effect off in the menu at any time to save resources.
The team has incorporated player feedback from the previous demo and introduced several improvements. Players can now tailor boost controls and damage indicators to their preferences. The scan zone system has been overhauled. Pilots now have to detect enemy Skyblades before they appear on the HUD. The demo also adds expanded support for advanced controllers and flight peripherals. Reakktor Studios has further refined overall game balance and optimized the music system for an even more cohesive experience.
New features of the current demo version of G-Rebels:
- Three-dimensional surround sound
- Optimized lighting effects
- Scan zones with new mechanics for detecting enemy Skyblades
- First-person narrator for immersive storytelling
- More options for boost mode & damage indicators
- Broader support for advanced controllers and flight peripherals
- Improvements to balancing and optimizations to the music system
The demo showcases only a slice of what G-Rebels will offer at launch. It’s an early build that continues to receive technical polish and optimization.
